name="conservation">Conservation Commission</a></h3><p><em><big>The Conservation Commission manages the town owned open space lands and guides</big></em> the development and conservation of natural resources. The Commission also functions as an advisory board to the Planning &amp; Zoning and Inland Wetlands Commissions. The Conservation Commission also works to educate the public on conservation issues, to promote Wilton&#8217;s Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day, and to encourage recycling and &#8220;green energy&#8221; practices.
