Rep. Reeves Votes Against 2011 Budget & Taxing Wall Street Bonuses 5/06/10

Refusing to go along with the majority, State Rep. Reeves voted against the 2011 budget because it relied too much on borrowing, deferring liabilities, and redirecting funds intended for open space, preservation, and renewable energy.
Reeves also voted against raising the state income tax on Wall Street bonuses, noting that while she understood frustrations about TARP, she doubted the constitutionality of the measure.

Rep. Reeves: House Approves Bill Protecting Voting Rights of U.S. Military Members 4/26/10

Rep. Reeves (D-Norwalk/Wilton) introduced a bill designed to improve the voting capabilities of the members of the U.S. military serving overseas – especially those serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The bill was unanimously passed by the Connecticut House of Representatives, and now goes to the State Senate.
