Two Top-Notch Candidates for Board of Finance Lead the Wilton Democratic Slate for Election Day, November 3, 2009

Incumbent Carl A. "Andy" Pforzheimer, who is running for his second four-year term on the Board of Finance explains that he offers Wilton "a deep understanding of how the Town operates, and an even-handedness and open mind towards all the needs of the many groups that comprise Wilton."

He is proud that during his tenure, tax increases are the lowest that they have been in 20 years, including last year’s historically low 1.4% increase; that Wilton has maintained its AAA bond rating; and that all this has been accomplished with a full General Fund balance and without any of the involuntary job cuts that must surrounding towns had to endure. Andy is the owner of a restaurant group based in Norwalk, CT.

VoteChris Stroup, a registered Independent, is running on the Democratic ticket for a seat on the Board of Finance. Chris brings sophisticated accounting, finance, and business management experience in the areas of effective risk and capital management as the Chairman and CEO of Wilton Re and Senior Advisor of Stone Point Capital.

Both Andy and Chris are involved in many facets of Wilton community life; serving on organization boards and active with the schools that their children attend.
