Supporting Pforzheimer and Stroup for Board of Finance

Wilton Bulletin, Oct. 8 | Wilton Villager, Oct. 9

To the Editor,

Two candidates have my support for election to the Board of Finance – Andy Pforzheimer and Chris Stroup. Of the candidates running, Andy Pforzheimer has the most experience on the Board, and Chris Stroup is the only registered independent. Both Andy and Chris are long-time residents of Wilton, raising families with children going through the public schools. They both have demonstrated long-term commitment to the town through their volunteer work and involvement in numerous community endeavors.

What I find most impressive, though, is the fact that both Andy and Chris are accomplished financial and business professionals. They are both the founders and chief executives of their own successful enterprises. Andy heads a renowned multi-location restaurant business in Connecticut, one which has thrived even in the current downturn. And Chris is chairman and CEO of a major re-insurance financial firm based in Wilton.

They both have that combination of real-world, hands-on financial expertise and long-term roots in Wilton that are needed on the Board of Finance. I can’t imagine two more competent people to help Wilton manage its finances. Andy Pforzheimer and Chris Stroup have both earned my trust and my votes.
